Junior Science and Humanities Symposium
BRTRC Federal Solutions Project

Objective:
Create promotional artwork for the 2015 Junior Science and Humanities Symposium — a Department of Defense (DoD) event where youth present the results of original research, displaying their achievements in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The completed artwork will be used for promotional posters and repurposed for additional products in support of the event, so it should leave available space for titles and additional information at both the top and bottom of the design. The target audience is teens in high school and early college.

The client provided some basic guidance — the project needed to convey a sense of cutting edge technology and potentially focus on the interaction between science and biology as well as show examples of "cool" applications of technology in DoD products and programs.
After the initial eye-centric design was presented in draft form, the client asked that a "night-vision" approach be taken to help emphasize this particular DoD technology.
